General Terms and Conditions of Sale for accommodation rentals at Domaine La Védence

1. Purpose of the rental

Domaine La Védence and the Guest agree that this rental does not concern premises let for use as a primary residence or for mixed professional and residential use. Consequently, they agree that their respective rights and obligations shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions and by the amended decree of 28 December 1976, and failing that, by the provisions of the French Civil Code. The premises covered by this contract are rented furnished on a seasonal basis. The Guest who books accommodation for a fixed period may not, under any circumstances, claim any right to remain in the premises.

2. Online booking

The general terms and conditions of sale and cancellation applicable to online bookings are the same as those for bookings made by telephone or email. Online booking systems require you to tick the box “acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale” before completing any purchase. Regardless of the booking method, any reservation implies full acceptance of the Domaine La Védence terms and conditions. Upon receipt of an online booking, the Guest will receive a confirmation email. An invoice will be sent to the Guest within 48 hours after departure.

3. Rental prices

The rates displayed are prices for the entire accommodation, regardless of the type of accommodation and the number of occupants. For room bookings, the rate includes the night only. Tourist taxes are included in the prices.

4. Secure payment

For financial transactions, the Domaine La Védence website uses an external payment solution. With this system, your credit card payment is processed directly on the secure server of the online bank. At no time will your credit card number be communicated to the Domaine.

5. Cancellation by the Guest

For accommodation rentals, in the event of cancellation by the Guest 72 hours before the start date of the stay, the payment will be fully refunded. Within 72 hours before the start date of the stay, no refund will be possible. In the event of early departure during the stay or no-show, no refund will be possible.

For room bookings, cancellations are refundable up to 24 hours before the start of the stay.

6. Cancellation by the Owner

If, for any reason beyond the control of Domaine La Védence, the owner is required to cancel the reservation before the start of the stay, the Guest will be informed immediately and the full amount paid will be refunded, without any compensation being due. However, Domaine La Védence undertakes to make every possible effort to offer the Guest equivalent accommodation.

7. Schedule

Check-in is usually between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Check-out is between 8:00 am and 11:00 am. Late arrivals or departures are subject to approval by the management of Domaine La Védence.

8. Use of the premises

The Guest and all occupants shall use the house, the swimming pool, the garden and all equipment at their own risk. They undertake to obtain insurance covering any damage caused. Domaine La Védence declines all responsibility in the event of an accident.

Pets are not allowed.
Parties and noisy events involving a large number of people are not permitted.
The Domaine is non-smoking. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house, in the bedrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
Children remain under the responsibility of their parents during the stay. Parents must ensure their children’s safety, particularly in outdoor areas, on stairs, and around the swimming pool. Parents must also ensure that fragile furniture is not damaged by their children.
Guests are required to respect all furniture and items on the premises and to use the rented property peacefully. Occupants undertake to return the Mas Gascon in good condition, to declare and assume financial responsibility for any damage or loss of items for which they are responsible as occupants. If items are broken or damaged, Domaine La Védence will claim reimbursement of their value upon presentation of a corresponding invoice or an estimated value where no invoice is available.
The Guest may not bring any claim against Domaine La Védence in the event of theft or damage to personal belongings in the rented premises. The maximum occupancy stated on the website must be respected.
The Guest may not refuse access to the premises if requested by the management of Domaine La Védence or its representative.
If the accommodation is returned in a significantly unclean condition, Domaine La Védence reserves the right to charge additional cleaning fees.

The same conditions apply to room rentals per night. The maximum occupancy per room is two persons.

9. Security deposit

Upon arrival, a credit card pre-authorisation will be taken as a security deposit: €700 for the Mas-Villa rental, €150 for the Cottage or Cabane Tchanquée rental, and €70 for a standard room (not charged). This deposit is intended to cover any damage and/or deterioration to the accommodation, furniture, and items within the property caused by the Guest, as well as the loss of keys or items. The deposit will be released within 24 hours after departure, after deduction, if applicable, of any amounts covering damage and/or deterioration caused by the Guest.

10. Assignment and subletting

This rental contract is concluded intuitu personae for the sole benefit of the Guest identified at the time of booking. Any transfer of the right of occupancy, any total or partial subletting, or any provision of the premises (even free of charge) is strictly prohibited. The Guest may not allow the use of the premises, even free of charge or by loan, to any person outside their household.

11. Inventory and condition report

A video condition report and an inventory of utensils, cutlery, towels, accessories, and other items made available to the Guest are provided electronically upon arrival. The condition report and inventory prepared by Domaine La Védence may be contested by the Guest within 24 hours of entering the premises. Failing any dispute within this 24-hour period, they shall be deemed accepted without reservation by the Guest. A comparative condition report and inventory will be carried out at departure. In the event of damage, loss, breakage, or deterioration, Domaine La Védence will seek compensation from the Guest.

12. Modification of the Terms and Conditions

Domaine La Védence reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions if necessary for the proper operation of the property.

13. Data protection

In accordance with French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, the Client has the right to access and rectify personal data concerning them. Domaine La Védence undertakes not to transmit any information provided by the Client to other companies or organisations for advertising purposes.
